Job Description

PURPOSE OF JOB: This role serves as a subject matter expert and technical steward for timekeeping, payroll, and related financial HR technology domains. The Analyst supports the 13 separate payroll installations from 7 different vendors, Workday (as the HR system of record), and UKG Workforce Management (for scheduling and time capture), and collaborates with Accounting, Finance IT, HR, and external vendors to ensure the accurate, compliant, and efficient flow of time and pay data across international operations.

The ideal candidate brings experience supporting and configuring time and payroll systems, troubleshooting transactional and processing issues, and partnering across technical and functional teams to drive operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: System Configuration & Support
1. Support the 13 Payroll systems (7 different vendors) currently in use.
2. Support Workday configuration activities related to Absence and Payroll, and UKG WFM for Time Tracking.
3. Maintain business processes, eligibility rules, accrual plans, time capture rules, scheduling configurations, and payroll processing logic.
4. Respond to user support tickets for transaction errors, processing failures, or technical issues across timekeeping and payroll systems.
5. Support users with technical questions on payroll systems, time tracking, and related processes.
6. Liaise with Accounting, Finance IT, banks, vendors, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve issues.
Issue Triage & Operational Excellence
1. Monitor daily operations in each Payroll, Workday and UKG WFM, identifying and addressing errors or performance issues in payroll and time workflows.
2. Investigate, document, and track recurring system issues, working to implement process improvements that reduce errors and improve efficiency.
3. Serve as a first point of contact for system issues, escalating to senior team members or vendors as needed.
4. Assist in root cause analysis and contribute to preventive solutions. Support compliance efforts by ensuring audit readiness in time and payroll data.
Testing & Documentation
1. Assist in developing and executing test plans and scripts for system changes, patches, and new functionality in Payroll Systems, Workday and UKG WFM.
2. Document configuration changes, test results, issue logs, and resolution steps in accordance with internal IT and audit standards.
3. Participate in end-to-end testing during Payroll, Workday and UKG upgrades, ensuring system integrity across all platforms.
Reporting & Data Quality
1. Support data validation and reconciliation efforts related to time entries, accrual balances, payroll results, and leave tracking.
2. Assist with scheduled and ad hoc reporting needs, including audit support and workforce time/labor insights.
3. Partner with People Analytics and Payroll teams to monitor KPIs and ensure data accuracy.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
1. Partner with HR, Accounting, Payroll, and Compliance stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable system requirements.
2. Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT security, integrations, and data management to ensure secure and reliable system operations.
3. Collaborate with external vendors, such as Workday, UKG, and third-party payroll providers to maintain stable integrations and timely file transmissions.

1. Support the ongoing Service Delivery lifecycle, from intake through testing and deployment.
2. Participate in operational reviews and retrospectives to identify opportunities for system and process optimization.
3. Maintain up-to-date documentation of business processes, configuration logs, and user-facing materials.
4. Provide backup support for additional activities as needed during peak periods or project timelines.
