Job Title: Network Admin
Job Overview:
The role entails the configuration, upkeep, diagnosis, and repair of the enterprise network, as well as auxiliary IT systems, under the supervision of the Senior Network Engineer. The candidate will operate autonomously and collaboratively within a team, following managerial guidance. The position demands a diverse skill set to ensure the smooth operation of the network and user contentment within a widespread WAN environment, with responsibilities outlined subsequently.
As a Network Admin, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:
• Expertly resolve complex technical network issues that arise.
• Investigate and rectify malfunctions in network hardware and other systems to ensure service continuity.
• Meticulously monitor and manage all WAN circuits, ensuring optimal performance.
• Deploy network and application systems as per specifications and requirements.
• Configure and set up various network equipment, including switches, routers, and access points.
• Respond promptly to remote assistance requests from colleagues and service partners, providing expert technical support.
• Actively participate in project meetings, effectively relaying project status updates to the team.
• Create and maintain comprehensive network support and implementation handover documentation for the Helpdesk.
• Manage assigned tasks and projects independently, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
• Provide backup support to other team members as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Undertake any other assignments or duties as directed by management, demonstrating adaptability and versatility.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of enterprise networking across all major touchpoints, including switching, routing, firewalls, wireless, and WANs (including SD-WAN).
• Expertise in utilizing network monitoring tools, particularly SolarWinds, to identify and resolve network issues efficiently.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant processes and security protocols.
• Ability to communicate clearly, politely, and in a friendly manner, both in written and verbal interactions.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic business environment.
• Ability to document processes using tools such as Word and Visio.
• Desirable – Demonstrable proficiency in configuring and managing:
o Cisco Umbrella
o Palo Alto Firewall
o Cisco Unified Communication Manager infrastructure
o Cisco Emergency Responder
o F5 LTM
o NSX-T, ACI or DCNM
• Capable of performing physical tasks such as bending, squatting, crawling, or climbing for up to 75% of the time during system/project installations.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Willingness to respond on short notice to customer needs for installation, maintenance, and equipment malfunction resolution.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time as required by job duties.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Certifications are not required but are a plus.

Work Experience:
• 5+ years of relative technical experience which includes:
• Demonstrated ability to conceive and implement creative solutions to address complex business issues.
