Job Description
Position Summary The Support Development Workflow Coordinator / Blazor & .NET Developer/Dynamics Sales Administrator is a hybrid development role responsible for managing the development-side workflow for support tickets, hot fixes, and support-related development tasks. This position is focused only on support workflows and is not responsible for project workflow management, project sprint planning, business clarification, or overall support ticket completion. The primary purpose of this role is to help keep support development work moving efficiently by making sure assigned development tasks are actively worked, technical leads complete their assigned responsibilities, and support-related development tickets are properly assigned to developers when technical review is not required. This role will work closely with the Support Lead, Product Manager, technical leads, developers, QA, and database developer. The Support Lead remains responsible for making sure all support tickets are completed. The Product Manager remains responsible for tickets that require business clarification or prioritization decisions. Technical leads remain responsible for technical review and technical direction when needed. In addition to workflow responsibilities, this position will also function as a junior to early mid-level developer. The role will support Blazor front-end development, backend .NET API development, CRM Administration and database-related development in coordination with the database developer. Primary Role Purpose This position exists to manage the development workflow inside the support process. The role is responsible for making sure development work related to support tickets is assigned, monitored, and moved forward without unnecessary delays. The person in this position will act as a development task manager for support work. They will not own support ticket completion, project delivery, product decisions, or technical architecture. Their responsibility is to make sure the development team is actively progressing on assigned support work and that technical leads complete the technical tasks assigned to them. This person will also be responsible for doing .Net development in Blazor.Net, .Net APIs, database development, and Dynamics Sales Administration. Scope of Responsibility This position is responsible for: • Support-related development workflow only. • Assignment of support development tickets and hot fixes to developers when technical review is not required. • Monitoring technical lead task completion for support-related development work. • Helping balance support development assignments based on developer capacity and story point load. • Supporting the Product Manager with prioritization visibility for support development work. • Performing Blazor front-end development. • Creating backend .NET APIs. • Working with the database developer on database development tasks. • Administering Dynamics Sales. This position is not responsible for: • Project workflow management. • Project sprint assignment. • Ticket clarification. • Business requirement clarification. • Overall support ticket completion. • Final technical review. • Code reviewing ownership. • System architecture decisions. • Replacing the Support Lead, Product Manager, or technical leads. Support Workflow Responsibilities The Support Development Workflow Coordinator will monitor support tickets that require development work and help ensure they are assigned to the correct developer or technical lead. The role will focus on the development portion of the support workflow, not the full support lifecycle. When tickets are missing business clarification, the existing workflow will automatically assign those tickets to the Product Manager. This position will not be responsible for chasing clarification, interpreting business intent, or determining business requirements. When support tickets are ready for development and do not require technical review, this position may assign the work directly to the appropriate developer. If the ticket requires technical review, design input, architecture review, or senior-level technical direction, the item will remain with or be assigned to the appropriate technical lead. This role will help make sure technical leads are completing their assigned tasks related to support tickets, hot fixes, reviews, and development direction. This includes watching stalled technical work, blocked development tasks, or items that are not progressing through the support development workflow. Hot Fix Assignment Responsibilities This position will assist with assigning hot fixes to developers when the issue is already understood, approved, and does not require additional technical review. For routine hot fixes, this role may assign the work based on developer availability, skill set, current story point load, and support priority. For complex hot fixes, production-impacting changes, risky database changes, pricing-related issues, integration issues, or items requiring senior-level review, this position will ensure the work is handled by the appropriate technical lead before development begins or before assignment is finalized. Developer Assignment and Story Point Management This position will assign support development work based on each developer’s current workload and accumulated story points. The purpose is to balance work across the development team and prevent too much development work from being completed and moved into testing at the same time. By monitoring story point accumulation, this role will help reduce testing spikes and avoid overwhelming QA with large batches of completed development work. The goal is to create a smoother support development flow, where tickets move through development and testing at a more predictable pace. The position will use story points, ticket complexity, support priority, developer skill set, and current availability when assigning work. Product Manager Coordination This position will work with the Product Manager to provide visibility into support development workload, ticket priority, developer availability, story point load, and workflow constraints. The Product Manager remains responsible for prioritization decisions and business clarification. This position supports the Product Manager by helping explain development capacity, assignment status, and support development flow. The role may provide input on whether support development priorities are realistic based on current developer workload, available capacity, and technical lead availability. Support Lead Coordination The Support Lead remains responsible for ensuring that support tickets are completed. This position does not replace the Support Lead and does not own the full support process. This role supports the Support Lead by managing the development side of support workflow. It ensures that development tasks are assigned, technical leads are moving their items forward, and developers have clear work assigned to them. The Support Lead will continue to manage the overall support process, ticket completion expectations, and support team accountability. Technical Lead Coordination Technical leads will remain responsible for technical review, technical direction, code review, complex troubleshooting, and higher-level development decisions. This role will make sure technical leads complete the support-related tasks assigned to them. That may include technical review, development guidance, hot fix review, API direction, database-related guidance, or review of higher-risk support tickets. The position will help identify when technical lead work is delayed or blocking support development progress. Development Responsibilities In addition to workflow coordination, this position will contribute as a junior to early mid-level developer. Development responsibilities will include Blazor front-end work, backend API development, and database development tasks. This position will initially support upcoming Blazor-based initiatives and future Blazor-based front-end applications. The role will also assist with support-related development work across existing systems where appropriate. The developer portion of this role is expected to follow company coding standards, branching processes, pull request procedures, testing expectations, and technical lead guidance. Blazor Front-End Development Responsibilities The position will assist with Blazor front-end development for future Blazor applications. Responsibilities may include: • Creating Blazor components. • Building front-end screens from approved UI/UX designs. • Connecting Blazor screens to backend APIs. • Fixing front-end defects. • Supporting reusable UI component development. • Updating existing Blazor pages and workflows. • Assisting with future customer-facing or internal Blazor front ends. Backend API Development Responsibilities This position will also be responsible for creating and maintaining backend APIs under the direction of senior developers or technical leads. Responsibilities may include: • Creating .NET API endpoints. • Updating existing API endpoints. • Connecting front-end Blazor components to backend services. • Supporting API validation and error handling. • Assisting with support-related API fixes. • Following established API design and security standards. • Working with technical leads on higher-risk or more complex API changes. Database Development Responsibilities This position will work with the database developer on database-related development tasks for their assigned projects. The role is not intended to be a database developer but should be able to assist with database work on projects as needed. Responsibilities may include: • Writing basic SQL queries. • Assisting with stored procedures, views, or database scripts. • Supporting data-related fixes for support tickets. • Helping troubleshoot API-to-database issues. • Coordinating with the database developer on database design changes. • Testing database changes for their support development work. • Ensuring database work follows established standards and review processes. The role is responsible for maintaining day-to-day CRM configuration, user support, data quality, and administrative updates within Dynamics Sales. This position is not intended to own overall CRM strategy or enterprise architecture but should be able to manage routine administrative tasks, assist with configuration updates, and support users as needed. Responsibilities may include: • Managing user access, roles, teams, and security permissions within Dynamics Sales. • Supporting configuration of forms, views, fields, dashboards, business rules, and workflows. • Assisting with product catalog, price list, and sales process configuration. • Monitoring CRM data quality and helping resolve duplicate, incomplete, or inaccurate records. • Supporting users with CRM questions, process issues, and routine troubleshooting. • Coordinating with developers, database resources, and business stakeholders on CRM-related changes. • Testing Dynamics Sales configuration changes before release to users. • Documenting CRM processes, administrative procedures, and configuration updates. • Ensuring Dynamics Sales administration follows established company standards, security expectations, and change management processes. Primary Duties • Manage development-side workflow for support tickets. • Assign support development tickets to developers when no technical review is required. • Assign routine hot fixes to developers when no technical review is required. • Monitor developer story point load for support work. • Balance support development assignments to avoid overloading individual developers. • Help prevent large spikes of completed work from moving into QA at the same time. • Make sure technical leads complete assigned support-related technical tasks. • Track support development tickets that are blocked by technical lead review. • Coordinate with the Support Lead on the development status of support tickets. • Coordinate with the Product Manager to clarify priorities and capacity. • Escalate complex technical items to the appropriate technical lead. • Perform Blazor front-end development. • Build and maintain backend .NET APIs. • Work with the database developer on their database development related tasks. • Support hot fixes, defects, and support-related enhancements. • Follow established development standards and source control processes. • Participate in pull requests and code review processes as required. • Support QA by ensuring development work is assigned and completed in a manageable flow.
